KVK Hailakandi was recognized and awarded many times by various forums at different platforms for agricultural development in the district by introducing, incorporating and popularizing various scientific technologies. Various awards received are detailed here with few glimpses.

  • Awarded second prize in the poster presentation on “Indigenous technical knowledge (ITK) for potato cultivation and storage in rain fed farming situation of Hailakandi district, Assam” in North East Agri. Expo, 2012 at Nagaland.
  • Awarded fourth prize in the poster presentation on “Farmer-led innovation at Hailakandi district of Assam in value addition: instant kheer mix”in North East Agri Expo, 2012 at Nagaland.
  • Awarded as best KVK Award to KVK Hailakandi among all the KVKs under ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya for the year of 2012.
  • Awarded as outstanding technical staff of the Year 2012 of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region to Mrs. Jurisandhya Barik Bordoloion the occasion of ICAR RC for NEH Region’s foundation day
  • Awarded as Best contribution towards “Agricultural development through scientific process in the district” on the occasion of 15th August, 2013 by the District Administration, Hailakandi.
  • Awarded 3rd best exhibition stall on the occasion of the exhibition organized by Department of Agriculture, Cachar, Govt. of Assam, during Barak Valley Krishok Samaroh, 2013.
  • Awarded as outstanding technical staff of the Year 2013 of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region to Dr. Saurabh Sarma on the occasion of ICAR RC for NEH Region’s foundation day
  • Awarded as Best Extension Personal of the Year 2015 of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region to Dr. Sk. Md. Azizur Rahmanon the occasion of ICAR RC for NEH Region’s foundation day
  • Awarded as 2nd Prize on stall presentation at Kisan Mela-2022, organised at ICAR RC for NEH Region, Mizoram Centre, Kolasib.
  • Awarded best Ph.D. Thesis Award-2021to Dr. Saurabh Sarma Agricultural Technology Development Society (ATDS), Uttar Pradesh during 5th International Conference on “Advances in Smart Agriculture and Biodiversity Conservation for Sustainable Development (SABCD-2022)” held at Jaipur National University, Jaipaur, Rajastan during 04th–06th March, 2022
  • Awarded bestPhD Thesis Award 2022 to Dr. Saurabh Sarma from Society of Agriculture Research and Social Development, MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University of Technology and Management and Association of Rice Research Workers (ARRW), NRRI
  • Awarded best PhD Thesis Award 2022 to Dr. Saurabh Sarma from Agricultural & Environmental Technology Development Society (AETDS), India and Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University, Pokhara, Nepal.
  • Awarded as Best Extension Scientist Award 2024 by society of Krishi Vigyan on the occassion of 4th SKV National conference of Agriculture in 2050:Technology and Dissemination held during 1st – 3rd March 2024 at Jawaharlal Nehru Vishwa Vidyalaya,Jabalpur.
